It is with great sadness we learned that our great blog-friend Dirk passed away this week after fighting for his life for a long time.
Dirk (from Friesland, The Netherlands) was a great source when it came to music from Japan. We think he knew more about the history of of Japanese pop, folk and rock than any average citizen from Japan does. Thanks for all you taught us.
Dirk wrote about his illness on his blog very open. Still it came as a shock to read his mother's words that he had gone.
